Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano pleased with the manner of his side's win over Levante.
Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano has admitted that his team played precisely as he had asked during their emphatic 4-1 win over Levante at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano burst back into form by netting a hat-trick against the relegation-threatened visitors, and moved back into contention for the European positions in the table.

The former Mallorca boss was extremely pleased with how the match had transpired, and that everything had gone as planned.

He commented: “Things went as we wanted, the match had what we needed, like the three goals from Luis Fabiano and the return of [Federico] Fazio.

“This is the way forward. We have to try to maintain that defensive intensity because, with the attackers that they have, if we score and defend well it can guarantee success.”

Manzano also looked forward to the Copa del Rey semi-final meeting with Real Madrid in midweek, stating: “The team will give their best to get a good result in Madrid, and we are desperate to get through to the final."
