Hamburg Striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy Set To Join Real Madrid After All

Van Nistelrooy is set to join Real Madrid from Hamburg, claims an insider.
Real Madrid TV presenter Andy May has sensationally claimed that Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to join the Blancos and that an announcement will be made very soon.

The 34-year-old veteran has been linked with a return to his old club since last week and the player himself has claimed that he is ready to feature for Madrid once again.

Hamburg, though, were reluctant to let go of the Dutchman, whose contract with the German Bundesliga club expires at the end of the season.

However, it now appears that a deal has been struck, if May is to be believed.

"It's still not official but it looks like RVN is returning to #RealMadrid. Keep an eye on for the announcement," said Real Madrid TV presenter on his twitter page andymaytvradio.

Earlier on Friday, Spanish sports daily Marca claimed that the Merengues had already made a formal bid of €2 million to Hamburg for the immediate transfer of Van Nistelrooy but reported that the German outfit had yet to respond.
