Andrea Barzagli's agent has confirmed the Wolfsburg defender will return to Italy with Juventus next week.
Wolfsburg defender Andrea Barzagli is on his way back to Italy with Juventus, according to his agent Claudio Orlandoni.

The 29-year-old has often been linked with a return to the peninsula during an up-and-down spell in the Bundesliga. He is expected to cost the Turin giants around €1 million as his contract is due to expire this summer.

"At the beginning of next week, the player will be in Turin," confirmed his representative to Ansa.

"There remains a few details to fix."

Barzagli has not been called up for Saturday's clash against Mainz by coach Steve McClaren, likely further evidence of his impending move.

A member of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning squad, Barzagli joined Die Wolfe in 2008 after a highly successful four-year stint at Palermo.
