Official: Sulley Muntari Leaves Inter For Sunderland On Loan

Clubs agree loan deal with option to make a permanent move.
Sulley Muntari has joined Sunderland for the rest of term on loan, Inter have confirmed.

The Ghana midfielder will head back to the Premier League with the option to make his move permanent.

A statement on Inter's official website reads:

"Now that the documents have been submitted to the relevant associations, Sulley Muntari’s transfer to Sunderland A.C.F. is official. The player moves on a loan deal with the English club holding an option to sign the player permanently.

Inter and all its players bid an affectionate farewell to Sulley, and wish him all the best for his new adventure in the Premier League; without forgetting all the successes achieved together: the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Champions League on 22 May in Madrid, two Serie A titles, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia."

Muntari is no stranger to England having played for Portsmouth between 2007 and 2008 before joining Inter.
