Malaga striker Julio Baptista believes referee behaved disrespectfully to the team in Valencia defeat.
Malaga’s new addition Julio Baptista blasted the performance of the referee as his team fell to a 4-3 defeat at the Mestalla against Valencia on Saturday evening.

The Brazilian striker has a superb game and was unlucky to be on the losing side, who continued to push for the win despite being reduced to nine men in the contest.

Baptista felt the decisions made by Rubinos Perez throughout the match were invariably against the Boquerones and remarked, “The referee has been disrespectful towards us.

“We cannot protest, but even if the referees are wrong they are not going to change, even though it affects the result.”

Teammate Apono also felt that comments made by the official to goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo were “shameful”, adding, “He has failed to respect us in how he has behaved.”

Aritz Aduriz’s late winner handed Los Che the points and solidified their position in La Liga’s top four.
