Manchester United Have Assured Atletico Madrid Of A Bid For David De Gea

Manchester United are understood to have assured Atletico Madrid that they will make a move for goalkeeper David De Gea, should the Spanish club wish to sell their prodigy in the summer.
With Edwin van der Sar having announced that this season will be his swansong, the Red Devils have been looking to find a replacement for the retiring Dutchman.
And despite first-team coach Rene Meulensteen having already confirmed that the club's first-choice is Ajax's Maarten Stekelenburg, The People claims that the Old Trafford outfit have guaranteed a bid for the Spaniard if he should be put up for sale.
United have already signed Anders Lindegaard from Norwegian club Aalesunds.
