Oddo is pleased with the 2-1 win over Sampdoria.
Milan defender Massimo Oddo was delighted with the Rossoneri's 2-1 win over Sampdoria in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

A brace from Alexandre Pato saw the Diavoli go through to the semis and set up a date with Palermo for a place in the final.

"We had a great game, especially in the first half," Oddo told reporters after the match.

"We made chances and took them. We knew Sampdoria would come back in the second half, but we managed to hold them out."

Oddo also praised the performance of debutants Mark van Bommel and Urby Emanuelson.

"I think they are two good buys. They are experienced and add quality to the squad.

"It is not easy to play so soon after arriving and Van Bommel had a different role to the one he had at Bayern Munich, but he did very well tonight."
