Manchester United Battle Bayern Munich for £22m Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer

Manchester United are reportedly tussling with German giants Bayern Munich for Schalke 04’s Manuel Neuer, as they set their sights on replacing Edwin van der Sar in the summer.
According to The Daily Mail, the German shot-stopper firmly tops Alex Ferguson’s list in replacing the retiring Van der Sar, despite previous interest in Atletico Madrid’s David De Gea.
A United scout saw 24-year-old Neuer produce an outstanding performance in a goalless draw against Dortmund.
Manchester United’s latest goalkeeping signing Anders Lindegaard made his debut in a 2-1 victory against Southampton in the FA Cup last month.
