Sevilla midfielder Renato set to miss weekend match against Malaga due to ankle injury.
Sevilla midfielder Renato is doubtful for the Primera Division clash against Malaga on Sunday afternoon after suffering from an ankle injury in training.

The Brazilian was forced out of training yesterday in discomfort from the problem, and the club’s medical team today confirmed that his participation in the match against the Boquerones would be difficult.

Coach Gregorio Manzano can however call upon new signings Gary Medel and Ivan Rakitic, both of whom made their debuts in Wednesday Copa del Rey defeat to Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, defender Ivica Dragutonovic is progressing well from his injury problems that have kept him out of action for almost the entire campaign, and is edging closer to a return.

Federico Fazio also completed his comeback from an ankle problem during last weekend’s draw against Deportivo.
