New signing Marcel Meeuwis will make his Feyenoord debut in the match against Vitesse.
Experienced midfielder Marcel Meeuwis is all set to make his official Feyenoord debut in the upcoming Eredivisie match away against Vitesse at the weekend.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined Feyenoord from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach on a six-month loan deal on the final day of the winter transfer window.

Meeuwis took part in squad training for the first time on Wednesday and head coach Mario Been has now confirmed on a press conference that the former Roda star will be part of the starting XI on Sunday.

Meanwhile, highly rated midfielder Leroy Fer has been included in the Feyenoord match squad again for the first time since October 2010. The young midfielder sustained a knee injury in the 10-0 league loss against PSV and had since been sidelined.

Feyenoord are battling against relegation this term and sit only 15th in the league table with 20 points from 21 games.
