Striker Julio Baptista: I Am Focused Only On Helping Malaga Avoid Relegation

Julio Baptista insists he is fully focused on helping Malaga avoid relegation.
Malaga striker Julio Baptista has claimed he is nothing thinking about facing former club Sevilla this weekend, and is more concerned with collecting three points.

The Boqeurones are currently bottom of the Primera Division table, four points from safety, and take on Los Nervionenses, who have suffered a mini-revival at the beginning of 2011.

The Brazilian spent a successful spell in Andalucia before moving on to Real Madrid, but insists his only thought is to help Malaga avoid relegation, starting with three points on Sunday.

He claimed to the media today: “Time has passed since I played for Sevilla, my head is in Malaga and I just want to help them out of this situation. There are seven teams down next to us with similar points, so we have to be a stronger team, starting from back, conceding less goals.

“Sevilla are a team with good experience, but we hope that the match against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey will have left them a bit tired for our league meeting.

“It is important not to lose any more points on the road, and this is achieved by being aggressive.”
