Bayern Munich Deny Report Franck Ribery Could Leave For €50 Million

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery reportedly has a limited fee release clause of €50 million in his current deal.
According to a report in Kicker, France international Franck Ribery could leave reigning German champions Bayern Munich for a fee of €50 million. The winger signed a new Bayern deal in May 2010 and his new contract supposedly contains a limited fee release clause of €50m.

Bayern Munich have always denied that the 27-year-old attacker could leave the club for a set fee and the Bavarians have immediately responded to the latest reports by denying Kicker's claim in an official statement.

"Kicker sport magazine suggest in their edition from 3.2.2011 (Nr. 11) that: 'Ribery could leave Bayern Munich for a limited fee release clause just over €50 million.' This claim is not correct," Bayern's statement reads.

Ribery joined Bayern Munich from Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2007 and has since developed into a key player at FC Hollywood. He was continually being linked with a move to Real Madrid last year, but the Blancos eventually dropped their interest after Ribery's contract extension.

The tricky attacker has been struggling with injuries this season, but is set to return to match action at the weekend.
